🇩🇪 Business Central Funktionen​

  • Filter Begrenzung des Informationsumfangs auf einer Seite. Folgende Filterarten stehen zur Verfügung:

    • Feldfilter
    • Tabellenfilter
    • FlowFilter

  • Sortieren Organisation von Informationen, um die Analyse zu erleichtern.

  • Statistiken Anzeigen einer Zusammenfassung relevanter Kennzahlen für jeden Datensatz mit detaillierten Informationen.

  • Drill-down Displays the individual entries that make up a calculated value or total amount.

  • Filtering Used to limit the scope of information displayed on a page. The following filter types are available:

    • Field Filters
    • Table Filters
    • FlowFilters

  • Sorting Organizes information to make it easier to analyze and review.

  • Statistics Shows a summary of relevant key figures and detailed information for each record.

  • Navigation Pane A central area to find, view, and print all related data in one place.

  • FactBoxes Used to display related information and linked data points.

  • Reports Used to view and print filtered information, with many standard reports available for typical business requirements.

  • Integration with Microsoft Office Products Manage and edit information within Word, Excel, or other Microsoft 365 applications.

Understanding FlowFilters​

FlowFilters are a unique and powerful filtering feature in Business Central. Unlike standard filters, which hide rows in a list, FlowFilters do not limit the records you see. Instead, they recalculate the values shown in specialized fields called FlowFields (such as Balance, Net Change, or Inventory).

By using FlowFilters, you can adjust the calculation criteria for a specific period, department, or project without changing the underlying data.

Common FlowFilter types include:

  • Date Filter: Restricts calculations (like "Net Change") to a specific timeframe (e.g., 01/01/26..12/31/26).
  • Global Dimension Filter: Limits totals to a specific department or cost center.
  • Location Filter: Shows inventory levels or sales figures for a specific warehouse only.

Key Difference: A Field Filter hides the customer if they aren't in London. A FlowFilter keeps the customer visible but shows only the sales they made in London.
